In a small city in northern Ontario, a condo superintendent died of Covid-19. The details are sketchy as I just heard the news from my nephew.
Ted’s wife played cards at the condo. She got the virus from one of the residents. She passed the virus on to her husband.
This is the only condo employee in Ontario, that I know of, who died due to Covid-19.
Shutting down the condo amenities may very frustrating for the residents, but it is surely saving lives.
I urge all tradesmen, contractors, cleaners, security guards, superintendents, conceige, valets and property managers to:
• wear masks and gloves.
• wash your hands often.
• practice social distancing as much as possible.
• if there are too many people on the elevator, get off. Take the next one.
• be cautious when you go into the residental units.
Love and respect to this Man’s family – I hope condo communities take heed from this and get more serious about health, safety, community and accommodation.
