Gay couple asked to leave Toronto condo because they're not married

A 26 October 2021 news report by Jon Woodward of CTV News states that MTCC #972 (The Century Plaza at 24 Wellesley St. W.) informed a gay couple renting a condo unit, that they need to get married—or get out of their rented unit.

In 2013 & 2015, MTCC #972 was the defendent in two court actions dealing with a resident’s noise complaints. They lost the first case and won the second one.

The second case was not a complete victory as the condo corporation was not awarded all of its legal costs.

We will have to see how this dispute is resolved. I think it is going to get ugly.
